A Serb who is an adviser to the Albanian mayor in Zubin Potok for Danas: The Serbian list is to blame for everything (VIDEO) – Politics

--

Darko Radojević, advisor in the cabinet of Zubina Potok mayor Izmir Zećiri, tells Danas that he is not the only Serb who entered the Kosovo institutions after the elections that were boycotted by the Serbs. He blames Srpska lista for the current situation.

After the local elections, which followed the exit of the Serbs from the Kosovo institutions in the north and the resignation of the Serb mayors, the leadership of the municipalities in the north of Kosovo was taken over by mayors of Albanian nationality, from the Self-Determination and Democratic Party of Kosovo parties.

A small number of Serbs approached the offices of these mayors – among them our interlocutor from Zubina Potok, a member of the party of Nenad Rašić, the current Minister for Communities and Return.

Radojević was a member of the municipal election commission in Zubin Potok during the recently held vote for the removal of the mayor.

As he points out, there are currently no more than 2,500 people in this municipality.

“Everything you see was created by Srpska lista, that there are no more than 2,500 people here is really sad. Not only here, people have moved away,” Radojević begins.

He says he accepted to be a councilor to work for the benefit of his community.

“A lot of people are moving out, it’s a broad topic, there’s a lot to say, but in a word, we’ve collectively failed,” he says.

When asked how the Serbs view his participation in the mayor’s office, which they consider illegitimate, he replies that the pressure is so great that people are not allowed to express their opinion, and that some support him, but not publicly.

“I wasn’t the only one who got into Kosovo’s institutions, I didn’t create Kosovo’s institutions, they were created by others.” I’m not in favor of high politics, I’m at the bar here, I know what every citizen needs,” he says.

He says that he does not know what to do after the failed referendum to replace the mayor, and notes that the economic situation is very bad and that people are tied to Serbia because they receive salaries and pensions.

“The only thing we need to do is raise economic people a little and keep them here.” I heard an information on the local that these buildings that were built by Serbia, that we who went in with the mayor of Izmir Zećiri, will share with Albanians and Roma. This is not true”

After the arrest of several Serbs who are part of the municipal institutions run by Albanians, as well as the announcement by President Vučić that soon all those who violate the constitutional order of Serbia, who are in places where Serbia has effective power, will be prosecuted, arrested and prosecuted by the Serbian authorities, Radojević asked if we could go to central Serbia.

“I was in central Serbia, I don’t believe that I am guilty of anything that someone would arrest me for.” There is no reason, I am an honest citizen of the municipality of Zubin Potok. I can come whenever, I don’t have worse apartments and houses, and I have relatives. They can arrest, they can do whatever they want. It was a big mistake, the people who ruled for 24-25 years here should be arrested. To prosecute them, to see where the money that came from Serbia is. And you can see for yourself that people live hard here. Let’s see where the money is from the Kosovo budget that was managed by Srpska lista for 12 years. Let’s see where the money from the EU goes. I am a man who receives a pension from Serbia, I am a retired MUP employee, and I will go to Serbia for the first time when I have the opportunity to go. So let them arrest me, I’m an honest man,” he says.

“Rakić fired me from my job”

Radojević particularly emphasized his personal problem with the former president of the Serbian List and the former mayor of North Mitrovica, Goran Rakić, who is now a member of parliament in the Serbian Parliament.

He explains that he and Rakić worked together in the fire service, and that in 2015 he forced him out of his job when he became mayor.

“I was supposed to be integrated according to the Brussels Agreement, but when the first elections were held according to the agreement, then in the Fire Service, Commander Ljubiša Vučinić told me that I had to vote for Srpska lista.” After that, after the election, there was little and I was fired from my job. As a colleague, he was good, politics took him, he didn’t like that I didn’t vote for Srpska lista, but that’s it,” he claims.

Rakić did not answer our calls and messages.
