The German company Deutsche Bahn (DBST), which is testing the high-speed railway from Novi Sad to Subotica that Serbia is building with its Chinese partners, tested on Wednesday the section of the high-speed railway from Novi Sad to Subotica.

Already on the first day of testing, a speed of 202 kilometers per hour was achieved, which confirmed the quality of the construction of the high-speed railway, he said on Instagram Minister Goran Vesić.

“Serbian high-speed railways are a combination of Chinese technology and European standards. All our high-speed railways are built entirely according to European standards in accordance with EU directives and the Serbian law on the interoperability of railway traffic. The high-speed railway that we are now building from Novi Sad is certified for EU standards by one of of the largest European companies from the Netherlands, and the technical control and reception is done by the respected German company Deutsche Ban,” stated Vesić.

At the beginning of December this year, traffic on the high-speed railway to Subotica will begin. Serbia will have 183 kilometers of high-speed railways, and from Belgrade to Subotica will be reached by high-speed train in 80 minutes, to Bačka Topola in 64 minutes, and to Vrbas in 53 minutes.
