Director of TOS Marija Labović told Tanjug that our people traditionally like to spend the following spring holidays in nature, and this year it also works in their hands that the non-working days for the two holidays are connected and coincide with the spring vacation for students.

“When it comes to spas, capacity utilization in Vrnjačka Banja is about 90 percent, in Sokobanja in private accommodation 85 percent, in hotels 90 percent, in Prolo and Lukovska Banja 80 percent. “It is similar in the mountain centers, so the current occupancy in Zlatibor is 90 percent, in Divčibare 80 percent, and in Zlatar 70 percent,” she said.

She added that Fruška gora is also very interesting for visitors, and a large number of tourists and excursionists are expected at this destination, because some people will not travel, but will still spend the day in nature, and Fruška gora is a suitable place for such a thing. .

“For those who have not yet reserved seats, and would like to travel somewhere in Serbia, now is the last moment to make a reservation”pointed out Labović.

The great interest in spring trips, according to her opinion, promises a good main, i.e. summer, season and a good tourist year.

“We hope that this will be a new record year for Serbian tourism. This is indicated by the trend of growth in the number of arrivals and overnight stays, as well as the foreign exchange inflow from tourism. The fact that a lot of things have been improved in tourist destinations, a lot is additional content, so we believe that there will be something interesting for everyone,” she said.

The Tourist Organization of Serbia, for its part, she added, is working on the promotion of the tourist offer through various communication channels, the media, but also through digital channels, and as part of the Family Day in Belgrade, they will also organize outdoor events.

In May, TOS will also be present at the Belgrade Manifesto, and in June new outdoor events will follow, where, according to the interlocutor Tanjug, all of Serbia will be represented in one place in Belgrade.

May public holiday? So, the period is getting closer when most employees will rest for six days, ending with St. George’s Day.

Non-working days until St. George’s Day

The non-working days will begin with Labor Day, May 1 and 2, which this year “fall” on Wednesday and Thursday, and we already celebrate Good Friday on May 3. Easter is on May 5, and Easter Monday – May 6 is also a non-working day.

The first working day after the holiday break is Tuesday, May 7.

For schoolchildren, the last working day before the holiday will be April 26.

It is interesting that May 6 is a double holiday for many. Namely, that day is also a religious holiday, that is, a holiday celebrated by a large number of families, so many will have a double reason for the day off.

Of course, whoever works gets a double daily wage.
