“Sunday of Orthodoxy” in SKC “Sveti Sava” in Subotica

The “Week of Orthodoxy” in the Dušan Radić Foundation in Subotica officially began with the singing of the “Sveti Sava” SKC choir, welcoming speeches and the opening of a solo exhibition by the painter Milinko Ristović entitled “The essence of our existence”.

“These paintings exude spirituality, a reminder and reminder of kindness, a reminder to sanctify spirituality. Because spirituality is directed towards God, and God is always with us,” says painter Milinko Ristović, author of the exhibition “The essence of our existence”.

During the “Week of Orthodoxy” the book “Poetic Challenges and Other Experiments” by Dr. Marko Nedić was presented, a forum dedicated to the jubilee of “Two Centuries of the Annals of Matica Srpska” was held, a spiritual forum on “Stories from the Unforgettable” and “Meetings with the Elders” by Bishop Aleksej of Hvostan, as well as a literary evening about the work of Vladimir Pištal entitled “Song of the Three Worlds”.

On the “Jadran” stage of the National Theater in Subotica on Saturday, April 27, the repertoire includes the play “Red and Gold”, dedicated to those who survived the battle in Kosovo.

“The last evening of ‘Orthodox Week’ will be ‘Evening with Matija’. The guest is, of course, academician Matija Bećković. I invite all lovers of the written word, music and painting to join us and follow our rich program,” says Jelena Marodić, manager of SKC. Sveti Sava” in Subotica.

“Orthodoxy Week”, which is organized by SKC “Sveti Sava” in Subotica for the 33rd time, ends on April 28, and during its seven days, as many programs are presented that nurture Serbian culture, tradition, literature, art and spirituality .
