The women’s volleyball team of Serbia will start preparations for the League of Nations on Sunday, and due to obligations in the clubs, the women’s national team will come to Belgrade in stages, from Sunday to Thursday. As announced on the website of the Volleyball Federation of Serbia, head coach Giovanni Guidetti’s list for the start of preparations includes volleyball players who will appear in the first week. They are technicians Slađana Mirković and Rada Perović, proofreaders Vanja Bukilić, Tara Taubner and Jovana Zelenović, libero Aleksandra Jegdić and Stefana Pakić, blocker Maša Kirov and receivers Sara Lozo, Bojana Milenković, Katarina Lazović, Aleksandra Uzelac, Vanja Ivanović and Simona Mateska.

Coach Guideti will arrive in Belgrade on Friday, May 3rd due to his obligations at the club, and 11 volleyball players from Jedinstva and TENT are expected to join the preparations on Sunday, May 5th. Ana Bjelica and Hena Kurtagić, depending on their obligations at the club, will come to the preparations based on the agreement with the coach Guidetti.

The Nations League group competition will be played from May 14 to June 16. The Serbian national team will play its first match in Rio de Janeiro against the Dominican Republic on May 16 at two o’clock in the morning, our time.

They will play their second game in Rio de Janeiro on May 17 at 7 p.m. against Thailand, and the third on May 18 at 7 p.m. against China. Serbia will play its fourth match on May 19 at 3 p.m. against Brazil. Canada, USA and South Korea will also play in Brazil.

During the second week, from May 28 to June 2, Serbia will play in the American city of Arlington, and the first match will be played against Poland on May 28 at 11 pm our time.

Serbia’s second rival in Arlington will be Turkey, on May 31 at 2:30 p.m. Serbia will play its third game in the USA against Canada on May 31 at 11:30 p.m., and the fourth on June 2 at three o’clock against Bulgaria. In addition to the hosts, Germany and South Korea will also play in the USA.

The third week will take place from June 11 to 16 in the Japanese city of Fukuoka. Serbia will play its first match on June 12 against the Netherlands at 8:30 a.m. our time. The second rival of Serbia in Japan will be France, on June 14 from 5:00, and the third is Japan, on June 15 from 12:00 to 20:00. On June 16, in the last match of the group competition, Serbia will play against Italy from 8:00 in the morning. In addition to Serbia and the hosts, the USA, Canada, and South Korea will also play in Japan.

The Serbian national team will not play against the USA, Germany and South Korea in the intercontinental part of the League of Nations. Each national team will play 4 games during one week, i.e. 12 in total.

The final tournament of the League of Nations will take place from June 20 to 23 at the Huamrak Hall in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok.

The host and the seven most successful selections will advance to the final tournament.
