The media of the United Group N1 and Nova S announced on their portals that 93 voters were registered in Krfska street no. 7a of GO Zvezdara, where the “Svratiste za decu” has been located since 2008.
Behind the fake news that they purposely put out in order to create unrest among the citizens, the truth is hidden that these are actually socially vulnerable people.
Journalists from the Informer newspaper visited the Center for Social Work in Belgrade and spoke with the authorities who stated that there are citizens registered at that address, but socially vulnerable and without a permanent residence address, persons who have been released from serving a prison sentence, as well as the users of the center themselves.
– The Law on Residence and Residence of Citizens stipulates the possibility of registering citizens at the address of the Center for Social Work, if those persons do not have the possibility to register at another address. These are the users of Centers for Social Work, persons in a situation of homelessness, children without parental care, persons who have served prison sentences, persons and families from informal settlements who do not have a residential address, so it is necessary to register at the center in order to achieve further their rights. Those persons have an obligation to report to the center and if there is a change of status to report it to us so that we can deregister them from the address at the same time – said Nataša Popadijak, head of the Zvezdara Department of the City Center for Social Work, and adds that such false information destroys the reputation of this institution. :
– Such headlines destroy the reputation of our institution, since it is really about users who are on the records of the Center for Social Work – concludes Popadnjak.
