Pleasures – In the “Tara” National Park, at the entrance gates in Perućac and Kaluđerski Bari, at the beginning of this week, the collection of fees for the use of motorized vehicles began. The payment was introduced, as pointed out in JP “Tara National Park”, in accordance with the Law on fees for the use of public goods, i.e. the Decision on fees for the use of the protected area in this national park.

So now drivers of passenger cars and motorcycles pay a fee of 300 dinars per day, vans and smaller vehicles with trailers 500 dinars, buses and trucks 700 dinars, and trucks and other vehicles with more than three axles 1,700 dinars per day for the entrance to this national park. . In this public company, they point out that the introduction of ten-day and annual fees is foreseen when the necessary permits and consents are obtained.

Those who reside in a protected area, persons who perform business or official activities here, persons with disabilities and special needs, pensioners with the lowest amount of pension, as well as vehicles with Bajina Bašta license plates are exempt from payment of this fee. The law stipulates that the funds from the fee for the use of the protected area go to the dedicated account of the manager and are spent on the activities of protection and development of the protected area.

The introduction of this new cost did not pass without reactions in this region. Residents of the territory of Užice (including some from Bajinobaštani villages) who live or have properties in the part belonging to the “Tara” National Park complained, because they do not want to pay for entrance to the nature close to their homes.

This was followed by a meeting of those dissatisfied citizens with the mayor of Užice, Jelena Raković Radivojević, and the director of this public company, Dragić Karaklić. It was worth it, the deal was done. “We have agreed that for all vehicles with Užice number plates, the collection of fees for entering the national park will be temporarily suspended, and the city of Užice will submit an initiative to the Ministry of Environmental Protection to permanently exempt vehicles with Užice license plates from paying this fee,” she said after the meeting the mayor of Užice.

This is exactly what happened: now on the website of JP “Tara National Park” it is written that the city of Užice sent this initiative to the ministry, whereby a compromise solution was applied that, until the decision of the ministry, vehicles with Užice number plates will be exempt from payment.
