– Most of the students from all classes gathered. As part of the bazaar, we have a competition for the most beautiful Easter egg in two categories – wax painting and all decorating techniques, and the most beautiful wreath for Vrbica is also awarded. My friend and I made a wreath, and we also have our stand with refreshments, which will refresh visitors in warm weather. The students tried to bring different things, to make it diverse, we also have books. This is not the first time we have organized such actions aimed at collecting money for humanitarian purposes, the last one was at the beginning of September – reminded first grader Dunja Stepanović.
It’s an idea, the director pointed out Marijana Isakovićto gather on the last day of school and in a good mood to contribute to the upcoming holidays through joint action.
– We wanted to bring joy to the last day before the school holidays and to show what Serbian tradition is, because, believe it or not, many did not know what the wreaths for Vrbica are for, but we introduced them to it today and revived that tradition. The students made an effort to prepare sweets, the aunts prepared cakes and this is an opportunity for everyone to socialize together. We have prizes for the traditional best painted egg, for the overall contribution to the event and for other painting techniques – wax, tempera and paints. The art teachers evaluated which one deserved recognition as the most beautiful, and the most beautiful wreath was also selected – said the director of the Šabac grammar school.
