The session of the UN General Assembly where the proposed resolution on Srebrenica should be voted on, scheduled for May 2, has been postponed, some Belgrade and regional media reported, but this information has not yet been confirmed to the Serbian delegation at the UN.

Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN Zlatko Lagumdžija told Dnevni avaz that the vote was postponed so that “everyone would have time to familiarize themselves with the facts” and that everyone, “including those who may be against it now”, would make suggestions.

“At this moment, we know that the session will not take place on May 2 because we are sending the text of the resolution for revision in case the UN member states have some other proposals on the text. “The general assembly will be held after May 6, depending on the schedule of the sessions, which we will know on Tuesday,” said Lagumdzija.

He added that the BiH mission to the UN also participated in that decision.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said earlier yesterday that the representatives of the USA and Germany met in Vienna, where they counted the votes of those countries that will support the resolution on Srebrenica and made a pressure list, and added that it is important to continue diplomatic work, regardless of the outcome vote on the resolution at the end of the day.

“We do more than what is realistic.” Americans and Germans met today in Austria and counted the votes and made a pressure list. They met, sat down and counted the votes. They campaigned against a small Serbia. And that’s what they did today from Vienna. They found themselves there… And that tells you something. They got together nicely today in Vienna, met, made their headquarters. But you know if they did that, Serbia was not doing a good job here. That says something, and I am proud,” said President Vučić.
