If you need to complete something at the municipal, city or republic counters, just like at banks or post offices, make sure to do it no later than Tuesday, April 30, because after that, the first working day will be next Tuesday, May 7!

What is also certain is that the students are also “free” – their spring vacation starts already this afternoon when they finish their classes, and they return to their desks on Tuesday, May 7th – so they will have 10 days to rest. Also, kindergartens will not be open during both holidays, from May 1 to May 7, so if you have to work, you will be forced to make do with “granny service” or some other option.

Working hours of pharmacies in Belgrade

State pharmacies, those in the “Apoteka Beograd” system, will work with a modified regime during official non-working days, depending on the location. The information we received from this institution is that on Saturday, May 4, it will work regularly. As a rule, state pharmacies are closed during all official non-working holidays.

However, on-call pharmacies must work around the clockand in Belgrade these are those at Nemanjina 2, Kralja Milana 9, Glavna 24 (Zemun), Maršala Tolbukhin 30 and Dr. Đorđe Kovačevića 27.

If there are any changes regarding the work of state pharmacies, it will be announced on their website or Instagram account, so it is best to check before heading to one of them.

On-call pharmacies in Belgrade

On-call pharmacies, which normally work from 00:00 to 24:00, are also open during holidays:

  • Sveti Sava, Nemanjina 2 (6643-170)
  • “May Day”, Kralja Milana 9 (3241-349)

When they private pharmacies in questionthere is a big question, because each of them is organized in its own way.

Parking service: When parking is free

The Parking Service has not yet issued an official statement on which days parking will be free, however, what we can conclude based on past experience is that parking will not be charged during public holidays.

Therefore, count on the fact that you will certainly not have to pay for parking in zoned areas of the city on May 1, 2 and 3, but it is not yet certain whether parking will be free on Saturday, May 4. In that case, it would be best to check their website, to be sure if you should pay for the ticket for that day. On Easter, May 5th, parking is certainly free, because it is a Sunday, and there is no charge on Sundays.
