Elektrosever started installing smart meters in the north of Kosovo – Economy

--

The Kosovo Electricity Distribution Company (KEDS) announced today that Elektrosever has started installing smart electricity meters in municipalities with a Serbian majority in the north of Kosovo.

Those meters will additionally regulate the distribution and supply of electricity for Kosovo consumers in that part, according to the KEDS announcement.

According to the announcement carried by the Reporteri.net portal, Elektrosever will install 5,000 new meters, primarily to consumers who are looking for new connections and to those who do not have meters.

This service is part of the systematization of consumers in the north and represents a major step forward for functioning in a complete and comprehensive manner for the entire distribution network of Kosovo, the announcement states.

The operator of the system, transmission and market of Kosovo (KOSTT) announced at the beginning of this year that in four municipalities with a Serbian majority in the north of Kosovo – Leposavić, Severna Mitrovica, Zvečan and Zubin Potok, billing will begin, as in the rest of Kosovo.
