Murder near Preljina: Dejan fired 7 bullets into Mario, and then the last shot him in the head

We remind you, Dejan P. is after the shooting in the premises of a company in Preljina, he fled the scene and the police have been intensively searching for him ever since. Yesterday in the late afternoon there was information that the suspect had killed himself, which turned out to be false later in the evening.

According to the Criminal Code of the RS, the stipulated prison sentence for the crime of murder ranges from five to 15 years, and the sentence for unauthorized carrying and use of weapons is from two to 12 years.

As we wrote earlier, the Serbian police are still looking for Dejan P. on suspicion that he killed Mario S. (44) yesterday at 10 am in Preljina near Čačak. As “Blic” learns, Dejan visited the police a few months before the crime seeking protection due to the threats he allegedly received from the victim.

As we find out, Dejan and Mario were in conflict, and Mario allegedly started a fire in Dejan’s technical inspection.

They argued about the border

The murdered Mario Simović from Čačak and the murderer Dejan Popović worked closely together and were business partners until they fell out. As we unofficially found out, the last conflict took place a few days ago, around the border.

According to unofficial information, Mario Simović and Popović collaborated on the sale and purchase of cars, lots and buildings.

He invited the victim for a conversation, then interrogated him

Let’s remind you, Mario Simović was killed today in a shooting near the “Marteks” factory, near Čačak. As “Blic” wrote, Simović was in a conflict with the murder suspect Dejan Popović, and according to unofficial information, it is suspected that on one occasion the murdered man set fire to his assailant’s jeep.

As we wrote before, Dejan Popović entered the facility and invited Simović to talk. The argument escalated, and Popović took out a gun and shot Simović. He died on the spot.

It is suspected that the motive for the murder is unresolved relations.

Already known to the police

The murdered Mario Simović was already known to the police, a more than ten years ago, his entire property was temporarily confiscated due to suspicion of extortion, bribery, fraud, money laundering and illicit trade.

Simović was known in the area as a businessman who “dealt with building real estate and cars”, according to our source.

After the murder, the victim’s parents quickly arrived at the scene, as did the ambulance, but resuscitation was unsuccessful.
