Many meetings, and yet not a single request for free and fair elections has been met and implemented

After announcing the elections, the President of the Assembly held a new meeting with the opposition, which, as agreed, should submit a bill during the weekend, which would prevent citizens who have changed their residence in the previous year from voting at their new address. The meeting planned for today with representatives of public media services has been postponed. Our right to know everything came down to finding out that the leaders of RTS, as they say, do not see the need to participate in the dialogue between the government and the opposition.

“In the invitation, it was stated that parliamentary groups will have the opportunity to express their views on public service reporting, which we are already very familiar with, because we carefully follow the parliamentary sessions and all the statements of all relevant political factors in the country, and we do not see the need for our presence.” at such a meeting”, stated in the reply of Radio-television of Serbia.

However, the Serbian Parliament announced that a meeting with representatives of RTS and RTV will be held on Monday. The question, however, is whether public services are the right address for Ana Brnabić’s invitation, or is it still REM.

“The answer is humiliating for the Assembly because they should have legally explained why they should not come to the Assembly, because I think they should not come to that meeting for the reason that public services and any media have no obligation to appear at a meeting that the basis is to discuss media conditions and the application of media laws”, says Zoran Gavrilović from BIRODI.

The opposition MPs who are running for the elections say that all citizens know how RTS works and that the government has full control over the entire program.

Radomir Lazović also believes that SNS has the greatest influence on the editorial policy of RTS.
