– I am standing here because of the daughter who is the victim of her brother. There was no indication that the horror was about to happen. Costa was in contact with many people and went to many activities and no one noticed any deviations in his behavior – began Vladimir Kecmanović and added:
– At this moment, it would be inappropriate for the victims to say what kind of child Kosta was and how caring a family we were. If I knew what was going on in Kosta’s head and if someone had told me that there was any problem, I would have done everything to prevent the massacre.
Later, Vladimir expressed his condolences to the families of the victims.
– I express my immense and deep condolences to the families of those killed. My pain and sorrow are inconsolable.
Let us recall that, in addition to Miljana and Vladimir Kecmanović, the lawsuit also includes their son, a minor who committed the massacre. Also, criminal proceedings are being conducted before this court against the boy’s father and mother, as well as the owner and instructor of the shooting club where he allegedly learned to shoot, while the minor is not criminally responsible because he was not 14 years old at the time of the massacre. The court accepted the proposal of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office in Belgrade and closed the trial to the public.
There are three civil proceedings against Kecmanović, while a total of five lawsuits have been filed, filed by minors and a history teacher who were seriously injured.
