The vice-president of the Democratic Union of Kosovo, Šćipe Mjekići, said that Kosovo’s foreign policy is passive, which, according to her, corresponds to Serbia, which has activated a campaign to withdraw the recognition of Kosovo’s independence, reports Kljan Kosova.
Mjekići emphasized that there is no cooperation with international partners.
– What characterizes foreign policy is passivity. I heard that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a strategy, but what we see is that when applications for membership in organizations are submitted, there is no real coordination with actors, with our European and international partners – she pointed out.
Mjekići added that the setback in Kosovo’s foreign policy favors Serbia.
– Today, when the Government of Kosovo would have to work non-stop on strengthening Kosovo’s international subjectivity, the setback in foreign policy favored Serbia, which reactivated its propaganda campaign for withdrawing the recognition of independence and against Kosovo’s membership in international organizations – concluded Mjekići.
