“The people of Bukovica know that the building was completely devastated and that, accordingly, it was necessary to carry out a large number of different works: stopping the moisture, completely replacing the carpentry, roof covering, then installing hydro and thermal insulation. Today we have the opportunity to open the renovated Cultural Center and I am I am sure that the residents of this part of the city will be proud of it and will be happy to use it. We continuously invest in Bukovac and we can say that we have done a lot, but there is still a lot of work to be done and we will not stop until all citizens of Novi Sad have equal conditions for life,” said Milan Đurić.

As part of the reconstruction works that began at the end of 2021 and were completed in the middle of this year, the ceilings were lowered, the walls were repaired and a sports floor was installed in the rehearsal hall. New water, sewage and electrical installations were installed in the building, while installations for computers, automatic fire alarm, hydrant network and gas were introduced.

Also, a kitchenette is equipped, and floor and wall heating has been introduced. A ramp for the disabled was built at the entrance to the building, a canopy was installed and the facade was finished. Part of the street fence was also reconstructed, a pedestrian and vehicle entrance was created and the yard was landscaped. 24,130,706.16 dinars were allocated from the budget of the City of Novi Sad for the decoration of the building.
