Igor died tragically in America, and the appeal of his friend, which is read with a lump in the throat, is shared by all of Serbia

A young man from Serbia, Igor Radivojević, tragically died during his stay in America. However, what is perhaps more painful than the fact that he is no longer there for his family, is the fact that it takes a huge amount of money to transport the body from America.

On the “Go Fund me” platform, an appeal appeared from a friend of a young man from Obrenovac, Srđan, who wrote that his death was caused by a combination of tragic circumstances after an epileptic attack. The post was released two days ago.

“Igor Radivojević died tragically due to an epileptic attack in his home in Los Angeles. He was 40 years old and went to America for a better future. We created this foundation to collect funds to bring him back to Serbia so that his relatives would have the opportunity to say goodbye to him for the last time.

I am very close friends with his brother Ivan, who is in Obrenovac and who is trying in every way to bring his brother home. Unfortunately, we all know how difficult it is to do that with salaries in Serbia. We called the funeral agency Sveta Gora from Chicago, which will take on all the transport obligations, but this service is not cheap. All money raised goes to the funeral service and will only be used for transport and burial costs.

Any help is welcome, please pay as much as you can, so that Igor can be returned home to his loved ones,” the description of the post states.

The story touched the users of social networks, as well as all those who follow the work of this platform, so the figure of 15,000 dollars was soon collected, which Srđan informed everyone about in a new post.

As he stated, every dollar that is collected above the sum will be forwarded to foundations that are involved in collecting funds for sick children.

“The goal has been reached! Thank you people for your good will and desire to help Igor’s brother bring him home and bury him among his family and friends. We just want to note that every dollar that goes over the set figure needed for transportation and burial will be forwarded to the foundations who raise money for the treatment of children. Once again, thank you all for your humanity and big hearts.”
