French composer Jean-Michel Jarre, a pioneer of electronic and ambient music, has become the first passenger in the world to take off in a futuristic flying car, which can transform from a road vehicle to an airplane in 90 seconds.

Žar traveled in an “air car” – the so-called “air car” (AirCar) – made by the company “Klein vision”. He and the pilot drove the hybrid vehicle around three kilometers in the space of 10 minutes over Slovakia’s Pješćani Airport on April 12.

The two-seater, which could be in British skies as early as 2026, can develop its wings in just 90 seconds as it prepares to take off, writes “Daily Mail”. The “air car” can travel at a speed of about 300 km/h, although it did not develop top speed during this latest test flight.

It took off for the first time in 2020, and the following year it made a 35-minute flight between Nitra and Bratislava airports. However, this is the first time that he had a passenger. Jar said it was as in “Jules Verne’s book”.

– One second you are talking to the driver, the next you are in the air. Amazing experience – he said.

“Air car”, which has a 160 horse power engine, was designed by Professor Stefan Klein, founder of “Klein Visions” from Nitra, Slovakia. The company said its latest flight marks “an important step towards a future where ground and air travel seamlessly merge”.
