Today, there are few singers who do not make it through music competitions on stage, and Slobodan Sloba Elbet, who stands out from his numerous colleagues by his excellent education and versatility, chose such a difficult path.

Namely, Sloba is an art theoretician, more precisely an ethnomusicologist with a master’s degree, and besides singing, he also composes and plays two instruments – accordion and piano.

His quality has also been recognized by Radio Belgrade, where he has been a vocal soloist for several years, and now he has recorded his first song “Još si moja rana”, in collaboration with our famous accordionist Aleksandar Sofronijević, who wrote the arrangement, and his production AS STUDIOTON.

“I always wanted to start a career independently, outside of current music competitions. Just the way singers used to do it – gradually and thoroughly. The most important thing for me is quality, that’s why I collaborated with Aleksandar Sofronijević because his studio is one of the best in the region and we all know what kind of harmonica artist he is, and what kind of arranger he is, among other things, you can hear in my song. He did a great job and breathed life into my song in the most beautiful way possible, with the beautiful, warm sounds of the harmonica,” says Sloba, who himself wrote the music and lyrics for the song “You’re still my wound”, and presented the music video to the audience, so Positive comments are pouring in on YouTube.

It is interesting that this young singer has already recorded several permanent recordings for Radio Belgrade, a privilege reserved only for the best singers, and he announces that he will build his career exclusively on real folk songs, regardless of musical trends.
