International career
Our actor has played roles in several films of foreign production. In addition to “Deadpool”, he appears as a character or voice in the series “Counterpart”, “Love death robots”, “Chicago med” and perhaps most importantly “Better call Saul”, a popular prequel to the hit series “Breaking Bad”.
One of his titles has been overlooked by many, and it is a bizarre movie that came out in 2023. It is “Slotherhouse”, a horror comedy in which a sloth is a mass murderer. Yes, sloth.

“The dumbest concept you can come up with”
“Slotherhouse” is a low-budget slasher horror in which we follow Emily, a student with the desire to become the president of a sorority on her campus. Hoping to improve her chances before the vote, Emily adopts a sloth from animal smuggler Oliver (Kapičić).

However, when girls start disappearing or dying, it turns out that the sloth is not so benevolent.
Brian Fowler started writing this story when he was asked what was “the dumbest concept he could come up with”.
– After joking around for five minutes, not only was the concept for the film born, but also the title, and from there we knew there was nothing to change – said Fowler once.
They didn’t want to record anything serious, but…
While “Slotherhouse” is a film that doesn’t take itself too seriously, director Matthew Goodhue still wanted to give it a shot. They relied on practical effects, made puppets out of the troubled sloth, and it was up to the actors to react to the cute creature as if it were the most terrifying creature they had ever seen. At the same time, the director did not want to exaggerate their performances.

– If they acted “too big” or too stupid, it wouldn’t have the right effect. We also had a lot of actors from the UK who were classically trained, and they brought a lot of drama to each character, which enhanced the film. Although you could say that the film is based on a silly idea, there are many real dramatic moments within it – Goodhue once said.
