The film “Birds that don’t fly” from 1997 is considered one of the most emotional films of that time. The main role was played by Ivana Šurdić.
In the film, she plays a girl Vesna who suffers from leukemia, and the doctors advise her to move away to nature. Her parents, Neda Arnerić and Miodrag Krivokapić, due to a combination of circumstances, renew contact with Vesna’s grandfather who lives on the mountain.
Grandfather Živojinović takes his granddaughter to his village, and life in nature has had a positive effect on her health. However, the film ends sadly and Vesna’s grandfather dies.
Although this was her first role, Ivana’s talent was noticed, and many predicted a great career for her.
However, her life took a different turn, and today she practices architecture and lives in Florence.
Apart from that, Ivana has not changed drastically in the meantime, except that she is older and has a different hair color and hairstyle.
