Friends of missing Anna Walsh want to take care of her children

Friends of missing Anna Walsh are pleading with child protective services to let them take care of her three sons so they won’t be placed in foster care, which would keep them separated.

The woman from Belgrade, who disappeared from her home in Cohasset, Massachusetts on New Year’s, has three sons, the youngest of whom is two and the oldest is six.

The children have been in the care of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families since Sunday, when their father, Brian, was arrested and charged with obstructing an investigation.

Natasha Skye and Pamela Bardy, who are close friends of Anna, told Fox News they believe the children could be placed in foster care as early as today, which could lead to a separation.

– Ana disappeared 11 days ago. The odds of finding her are dire, but we have to take care of her children. That should be our priority – Skye said during an interview at her home and added: The international community in the New England area, including the families whose children play with Ana’s, want to take care of them until Ana’s mom comes from Serbia to the US.

Sky is the founder of a non-profit organization in Newton that helps raise funds for Ana’s mom to come from Serbia to Massachusetts.

– We are sure that the social services take care of Ana’s boys like we do, but we need to ensure that they are in a private house, that they hang out with their friends. We ask the social services to allow us to take care of them and not to put them in the foster care system. That’s the only way we can help Ana’s children – said Natasha Sky.

Ana’s mother, Milanka Ljubičić, told Fox that her daughter asked her to come visit just a week before Ana disappeared. Ljubičić also has a daughter, Aleksandra, who lives in the Toronto area.

– We are sure that the social services are as worried about Ana’s boys as we are, but we have to make sure that they are in a private house and that they are communicating with their friends. We ask the social services to allow us to take care of them and not to give them to foster families. That’s the only way we can help Ana’s children – Sky said.
