After four defeats in the playoff finals, it was time for the girls from Stara Pazova to reign.

This season, the final of the Serbian volleyball championship lasted only three games: Jedinstvo – TENT 3:0 (25:14, 25:21, 25:18) for the second consecutive Sremica title.

Jedinstva volleyball players from Stara Pazova defended the title of champion of Serbia, as they swept TENT in the final playoff series with a 3:0 victory. Another top season is behind Sremice, who won the triple crown and reconfirmed their domestic dominance. Coach Jov Caković’s team again showed their championship instinct and winning mentality and crowned their dream season with only one defeat in the championship.

Unity: Osmajić 14, Medved (L), Lakićević, Punišić, Miljević 1, Nedeljković 10, Pavlović, Sućurović, Todić, Tica 19, Miljević 7, Kukilo, Rodić, Dragović 9. Coach: Caković.

TENT: Rajlić 7, Mandović, Popović 1, Ranković, Andrić, Cvetković 1, Sajić 4, Malešević 5, Mijatović 12, Nataša Čikuc-Daens 7, Nađa Čikuc-Daens (L), Stanojević, Marjanović, Gočanin. Coach: Žakić.

The home team struck the first blow. The 6:0 run by Jedinstva was enough for a big advantage already at the beginning of the set (8:3). Mina Dragović was the initiator again with two ace points, and the championship dance of the Staropazov women started. The excellent services of the home team disarmed all the ideas and attempts of Obrenovčanka, which is why the advantage constantly grew to a convincing and final 25:14. There was no weak link in the Jedinstva camp, and the tandem of service receivers Nedeljković – Tica was presented in the best light.

Žakić shuffled the cards and started the second set with Rajlić and Sajić in the lineup. The risk from the service paid off for the guests, but only in a few opening points, and then Jedinstvo entered the scene. Two tied aces by Osmajić started the series and in the blink of an eye the home team took control of the result (11:6). He changed the TENT and the lifter, something had to be done, but still the services of the home team and the game in the field made the difference. The visitors went all-or-nothing with good serves, but also with the mistakes of their rivals, they melted the deficit to just one point (14:13), but they stopped there again. Branka Tica and Minja Osmajić set the tone for the game of Jedinstva, which added gas again at the right moment and the home team doubled their lead – 25:21.

The tie at the beginning of the third period of the game was broken by Jedinstvo and with great defenses, they forced the opponents to make several mistakes and took the lead 13:9. In the game of “energy women”, everything depended on Mina Mijatović, but she could not do it alone. In their distinctive rhythm, Sremice “grinded” the opponent and rushed towards maximum victory. The trio Osmajić – Nedeljković – Tica shone and with the result 20:13 everything was clear.

In the third game, the best players in Jedinstva were Branka Tica with 19 points, with 47 percent passing (36-17), Minja Osmajić with 14 (three blocks and an ace each) and Ivana Nedeljković with 10 points, while TENT’s only Mina Mijatović was in double figures with 12 points.

Interestingly, Jedinstvo recorded a total of nine ace serves, and TENT none, while the home team was much better in the ratio of points from the block 7:2.
