Mazda enthusiasts have been longing for news about the new “six” for some time, but there was no news for a long time.
As for the European market, the stock of the current model is expected to run out, so the model name and its body shape will go down in history.
But the new Mazda6, or rather the EZ-6, is a sedan produced by Changan, Mazda’s Chinese joint venture partner in that country, unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show.

Production of the new model will begin before the end of the year, and only China is mentioned as a market, at least for now.
This car will be driven exclusively by an electric motor in one version, while in the other it will be equipped with a gasoline engine as an electric power generator to extend the range.

The dimensions of the EZ-6 sedan are (L/W/H) 4921/1890/1485 mm, and in the purely electric option it will have a perfect weight distribution of 50:50.
Mazda announced that the electric version will have a range of 600 km, while with the gasoline engine it will be extended to even 1000 km with one tank of fuel and a full battery

Other technical details are not officially known, but based on related models from Changan, it is expected that the EZ-6 could arrive in two battery versions, with 58.9 kWh and 66.8 kWh, powered by a rear-mounted electric motor with 215 hp or 255 K S.
