The new leadership of the Assembly of Vojvodina: Balint Juhas the president, Zobenica among the vice presidents

--

81 MPs voted for him.

Three MPs from the ranks of the Serbian Progressive Party were elected vice-presidents. We are talking about Damir Zobenica, Aleksandra Maletić and Nemanja Zavišić.

The fourth vice president is Boris Novaković from the Socialist Party of Serbia.

Before the session, Radivoje Jovović from the party Zajedno repeated his position that the opposition will not nominate vice presidents.

“We will not legitimize the work of this assembly in that way. We categorically refuse to pretend that the assembly is democratic,” pointed out Jovović in front of the opposition parliamentary groups that emerged from the “Serbia against violence” coalition.

Sandra Stojković was again appointed as the General Secretary of the Assembly of Vojvodina. She held that position in the last convocation as well.

Let us remind you that the constitutive session began on February 9, and the continuation was waited for more than two months.

The opposition has pointed out on several occasions that the Serbian Progressive Party is carrying out “legal violence”, that such a long break is not possible according to the rules of procedure, and that the Progressives deal exclusively with Belgrade and the Republic.

The session is chaired by the oldest MP, Miroslav Španović from PUPS.

In these two months, there were not many activities, nine parliamentary groups were formed, which included representatives of 20 parties and movements.

The current ruling coalition of SNS with its partners from SPS, SVM, SDP, PUPS, PS has 76 mandates, which is more than enough to form a majority.

For now, there is no information about when the provincial government will be formed, although it is unofficially known that it could be at the session after the May Day and Easter holidays.

What is known is that the Government will no longer be chaired by Igor Mirović.
