Student of “Radoje Domanović” Elementary School he brought a knife to school yesterday, because as he heard on Tik Tok, yesterday was Rape Day, so he wanted to protect himself, confirmed Blica director Dušica Tričković. She added that this is a suitable sixth-grade boy, but that the school has initiated all necessary actions related to this case.

As she pointed out no intimidation or violence occurred, but he reacted naively. He simply took a knife and kept it in his backpack.

– He saw on the Internet that someone linked the date 04/24/2024. like Rape Day and in the comments they stated that today they should not go out anywhere in order to protect themselves. The boy informed his mother about it, but she did not allow him to stay at home, but sent him to school – said Tričković.

In order to protect himself, according to the director, took a small crooked a knife and put it in the bag and it sat like that all the time at school.

– Towards the end of the class, he told a girl that he brought a knife for self-defense since it’s Rape Day. Since the students of our school are empowered to report any problem to the authorities, the girl told the psychologist – explains Dušica Tričković.

The school psychologist reacted immediately, took a statement from the boy and called his mother. All necessary measures have been initiated, the boy was removed from schoolthe police were informed about the case.

As far as we know, all the medical examinations were carried out, which established that the boy is not aggressive towards his peers nor that he had any bad intentions.

– The boy is afraid of being kicked out of school. As it is a more serious injury, a decision was made on increased educational work, members of the police took statements from all actors, the School Administration was informed, a meeting of the Security Team was scheduled. Disciplinary proceedings will be initiated – the school director concluded.
