US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that China is the “number one supplier” for Russia’s military-industrial sector and said that the US is ready to take additional measures to end that cooperation.
He admitted that China does not supply Russia with weapons and military equipment, but claims to supply it with “machinery, microelectronics and optics” used in the “mass production of ammunition, weapons, tanks and armored vehicles sent to Ukraine”.
– China is the number one supplier of critical components that Russia uses to rebuild its military-industrial complex – said Blinken in an interview with the American radio “AN-PI-AR” during his visit to China.
In this regard, he warned that Washington is ready to apply new restrictions and sanctions against the Chinese side if it continues with activities that, in the opinion of the US administration, support the Russian defense industry.
– We have already taken some measures. We are prepared to do more if China is not prepared to limit that activity – he pointed out Blinken.

He reminded that the US has already introduced sanctions and export control measures against more than a hundred Chinese companies.
– There are other measures that we are fully prepared to undertake. As I said before, if China doesn’t act, we will – said the head of American diplomacy.
