Novak Djokovic made the whole nation happy on Sunday. There is no Serb around the world who did not celebrate Djokovic’s triumph, and what is certain is that his family members are particularly emotional and proud.
His wife Jelena Djokovic has always been a big supporter of him. Although she was not in the stands, she followed the match closely from the small screen, and she shared the touching scenes from the Rod Laver Arena on her Instagram profile.

And everyone is wondering where she actually was. According to information from Sportal, Jelena Djokovic never comes to Australia since the little ones Stefan and Tara became part of their family. First of all, Australia is far away, and the kids go to school, so they can’t really cheer dad on during school days.
Jelena also takes care of the Novak Djokovic Foundation, so that is one of the reasons why she was not in Melbourne.

After the 3:0 victory in sets against the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas, the Serbian tennis player pointed out that he was touched by the words of his opponent.
“I acknowledge your effort and overall performance at the tournament. You were not lucky. This is not your last Grand Slam final. You have more time ahead of you than before me,” he said and repeated that for him Tsitsipas is one of the most interesting people on the tour. And then he referred to the countries of origin of both, with a clear message.
“We are two relatively small countries that don’t have a tennis tradition. We didn’t have too many players to look up to, so I think the message for every young tennis player watching this from anywhere in the world is: Dream, let yourself dream, don’t let them take that away from you,” said the Serb and added that a hard life brings out the best in people.
