The Brooklyn winger will play for the United States national team at Mundobasket in August and September Cameron Johnson. Johnson’s mother, besides being of Croatian origin, played basketball at the University of Kent in the past, and after three years at Pittsburgh and two at North Carolina, Johnson played in the NBA for Phoenix. He was there until the big trade for Kevin Durant and then he moved to Brooklyn, and in this team at the end of the season he was a starter in 25 matches. He played an average of 30 minutes and scored 16.6 points with 4.8 rebounds and 2.1 assists.
Now apparently playing for Croatia has fallen away as an option as he has opted to play for the USA in the tournament which starts on August 25th. In addition to him, the team will include Anthony Edwards, Mikal Bridges, Jaylen Brunson, Jaren Jackson, Austin Reaves, Bobby Portis and Walker Kessler.
