French footballer Benjamin Mendy has filed a lawsuit against Manchester City over unpaid wages during his rape court battle.
Mendy played his last game for Manchester City on August 15, 2021, after which he would be in court due to several accusations of rape by numerous girls he was allegedly with.
Each of those charges was overturned this year and he was found not guilty, returning to football this summer by signing as a free agent for French side Lorient.
During his legal battle, Manchester City suspended him and did not pay him the wages due to his contract which ran until June 2023. The former France international has now filed a lawsuit against City seeking multi-million damages.
Mandy has made three appearances for Lorient this season.
