Already on Saturday there were fewer people. Crvena zvezda had a huge seven point lead, but the visit was more than solid. There were 37,465 people in the last championship derby. So, 86,565 people followed the last 180 minutes of the fight between the two biggest Serbian clubs. Or an average of 43,282.

Judging by the latest reports from the Maracana box office and other outlets, that standard will not be maintained. Around 20,000 people are expected to watch tonight’s Serbian Cup match.

There are several reasons for that. There was a saturation of the audience, the question is whether people from the province have the financial ability to travel to Belgrade twice in four days. Also, for a long time there was uncertainty about the actual playing of the game.
