Zvezda beat Partizan in the semi-finals of the Cup, they will play against Vojvodina in Loznica

Zvezda took the lead with an own goal by Aleksandar Filipović in the 27th minute after a shot by Peter Olajinka, who doubled the advantage two minutes later and set the final score.

Before the start of the game, Partizan’s captain Svetozar Marković received a yellow card because the team did not come onto the field in time, which is why the start was delayed. After leaving the locker room, the Partizan players stood gathered in front of their bench for a few minutes and listened to coach Igor Duljaj’s speech, while the home team spread out around the field.

Partizan took the ball from the center, and Samed Bazdar kicked it far into the outfield, and this can be considered a kind of protest because the black and whites are dissatisfied with the refereeing of the previous two “eternal” derbies.

Partizan was the first to threaten, in the seventh minute Xander Severina found Aldo Kalul well in front of the goal, but the Zvezda defense reacted well and kicked the ball into the corner.

After a mistake by a Zvezda player and a lost ball, Partizan had a chance in the 15th minute, Bazdar passed the ball to Jung Jun Goh who shot, and Zvezda goalkeeper Omri Glazer kicked the ball into the corner.

After a corner, Zvezda black and white launched a counterattack in the 21st minute in which Gaias Zahid and Severina took part, who passed to Bazdar, who shot over the goal.

Zvezda took the lead from the first opportunity, in the 27th minute Hwang In Bom dribbled free from Kalulu and crossed in front of the goal, Olajinka caught the ball at the second post, the ball hit the Partizan player Filipović and entered the net.

Two minutes later, the home team doubled their advantage with a goal by Olajinka, who received the ball on his chest after a pass from Srđan Mijailović and sent it into the net from five meters. In the VAR room, it was checked whether the pass to Mijailović was offside and it was decided that the goal was legal.

Zvezda had a great chance in the 38th minute, when Marko Stamenić tried, and goalkeeper Aleksandar Jovanović saved, but it was ruled offside. A minute later, Bazdar had a chance on the other side, but he was also ruled offside. There were no chances until the end, so the home team went into halftime with a big advantage.

The home team had the initiative from the beginning of the second half, and Olajinka broke free from the keeper and shot from a good position in the 52nd minute, and Jovanović managed to save.

In the 57th minute, Jovanović twice saved Mirko Ivanić’s shots in front of the goal, after which Nikola Antić kicked the ball into the corner.

Zvezda continued their attacks, after a quick attack in the 60th minute, Endijaje, Olajinka and Bukari tried, but the Partizan players managed to block those shots.

Olajinka had a chance in the 66th minute, and on the other hand, in the 73rd, Nemanja Nikolić had a good shot, but his shot was saved by the home goalkeeper.

In the 84th minute, Partizan’s goalkeeper Jovanović intervened again after a shot by Aleksandar Katai, but was soon ruled offside.

Mijailović tried from about 20 meters in the 89th minute, and goalkeeper Jovanović managed to put the ball over the crossbar with a parade, and after a corner, he also stopped Katai’s shot.

There were no changes until the end, so Zvezda will defend the trophy in the final, on May 23 against Vojvodina in Loznica.
