The current basketball season is entering the very end, so every serious team must without question start putting together a new, even stronger team for the next year.

Partizan’s basketball players excelled when it came to placement in the TOP 8 of the Euroleague, while in the ABA League they lost their home court and will have to go the hard way to defend the regional trophy.

However, in a season full of ups and downs, the only constant in Partizan is former Euroleague champion and NBA scorer James Nunnally.

Namely, last summer he extended his cooperation with Partizan for another year, and with his parties, attitude, commitment to the fans and the Partizan jersey, Nanelli deserved a new contract above all. There is no dilemma, except for Naneli’s possible wish to continue to lead Željko Obradović’s company.

When things were going badly for Kevin Panther, Nanelli was there. When PJ Dowser was looking for himself, Nanelli was there. When Aleksa Avramović was off the floor, Naneli was there again.

In the final of the Radivoj Korac Cup, he injured his shoulder and was not present later in the crucial matches of the black and whites in the Euroleague. This had an express effect on Partizan’s result in Europe.

Although he is close to 34 years old and slowly creeping towards 35, Naneli is one of the best and most prepared Partizan basketball players in terms of spirit and character.

If Partizan wants a better result in Europe, they will have to think hard about a new contract for the American. It’s rare to find such a reliable basketball player on the market today…
