After a long time at Goodison, Everton managed to defeat Jurgen Klopp’s team 2:0 (1:0) and thus win important points in the fight for survival.

Liverpool were looking to beat leaders Arsenal, who had beaten Chelsea 5-0 the day before, but instead it was a night for the boys in blue.

It started with two chances for the home side, in the 13th and 17th minute through Ben Godfrey and Calvert-Lewin, when Allison responded brilliantly.

However, the goalkeeper of Liverpool could not do anything even in the 27th minute when Jared Brentwhite sent the ball into the net for 1:0 after a deflection.

VAR checked if there was offside, in the end everything was clear, and Everton fans could celebrate.

Liverpool missed a great opportunity in the 35th minute through Darwin Nunes, but Pickford reacted brilliantly after the chance Luis Lias found himself in in the 44th minute.

Dwight McNeill had a new chance for Everton in the 57th minute, and a minute later it was 2:0 on the scoreboard.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin jumped over everything and scored a goal for 2:0.

In the 70th minute, Maleroz Dias shook the Everton goal post, and Harvey Elliott had a great chance in the 90th minute, that was all from Jurgen Klopp’s team, which is now three points behind Arsenal.

The visitors took the lead again in the 50th minute after a goal by Brereton Dias, but United managed to come back.

Bruno Fernades equalized at 2:2 from the penalty spot in the 61st minute, and then scored a great goal with his left foot from 20 meters to make it 3:2.

In the 85th minute, Rasmus Højlund also shook the visitors’ net, thus ending the series of matches without a goal scored.
