After a long time at Goodison, Everton managed to defeat Jurgen Klopp’s team 2:0 (1:0) and thus win important points in the fight for survival.

Liverpool were looking to beat leaders Arsenal, who had beaten Chelsea 5-0 the day before, but instead it was a night for the boys in blue.

It started with two chances for the home side, in the 13th and 17th minute through Ben Godfrey and Calvert-Lewin, when Allison responded brilliantly.

In the 85th minute, Rasmus Højlund also shook the visitors’ net, thus ending the series of matches without a goal scored.

Crystal Palace also gained points, beating Newcastle 2:0 (0:0) at home with goals from Jean-Philippe Mateta in the 55th and 88th minutes.
