STRAHINJA Jokić already had problems with the law in the USA, when he ended up in prison for attacking a girl.
The Denver Post then reported that he was in his apartment with a woman. At one point, the woman wanted to leave the apartment, but Jokic roughly held her back and prevented her from leaving, according to a police document that the media had access to.
Then the woman went out on the balcony and called for help, but the older Jokić grabbed her and started to strangle her. He allegedly told her “that he would choke her until she fell asleep”.
The woman then tried to call the police, but Jokic took her phone away. Nevertheless, she managed to send a message via computer to an acquaintance, who then informed the police, who then arrested Strahinja Jokić.
Strahinja and Nemanja, Nikola Jokić’s older brothers, are well-known in America and very often attend their brother’s matches.
It is interesting that Nemanja Jokić used to play basketball, but since he did not manage to achieve great heights in it, he decided to start doing ultimate fighting (MMA). The “most dangerous” of the three Somborians won his first match in his favor by knocking out his rival in the first round.
He even lived with Darko Miličić as a young man while the latter played in the NBA league, they have a large number of tattoos in common. He even said then: “I lived the life of an NBA player.” That easy life lasted for a year and a half, until Milicic went to Orlando.
From his basketball career, it is remembered that he entered the game from the bench, for three full years, at Detroit Mercy College. Then he moved to Long Island, playing for the Steamers of the Premier Basketball League.
– I made mistakes. When I was young, basketball was not my priority. Dates, parties, drinks, girls, those were my priorities. I made decisions on my own like “I won’t go to training”, and I still needed the support of my family. I missed that – said Nemanja Jokić at the time.
