The team from Israel managed to celebrate in the first match after a great fight and drama with 91:87.

However, in the second match, they managed to celebrate the “green” and thus equalized the result before the double match in Belgrade.

Panathinaikos led to victory Kostas Slukas with 29 points, three rebounds and four assists. Thus, he set a career record for the number of points scored. He was followed by a former Partizan basketball player Janis Papapetrou with 15 points with three rebounds and assists.

It was also in double digits Dinos Mitoglu with 14 points and six rebounds, as well Matthias Lessor with 11 points and eight rebounds.

He excelled at Maccabi Lorenzo Brown with 18 points and six assists, and they were in double figures Antonius Cleveland and Jake Cohen with 12 and Tamir Blatt with 11 points and six assists.

Maccabi entered the match very well and reached +8 at the end of the first quarter (20:28). Nevertheless, Panathinaikos woke up in the continuation, won the second part 31:11 and left at halftime with +12 (51:39).

The team from Tel Aviv did not give up, they tried to get back into the match, they succeeded at the beginning of the last quarter when they came close to -3 (71:68) with an 8:0 series.

A real rhapsody followed in the game of Panathinaikos, they made a 13:2 series and solved the question of the winner (84:70). In the end, they brought the match to a routine end.

The next match is scheduled for Tuesday, April 30 at 7 p.m. in the “Belgrade Arena”.
