Slovenian football player Tim Matavž could receive five years in prison for domestic violence, because he recently threatened and abused his wife!
“Slovenske Novice” state that Matavž, otherwise a player from Gorica, assaulted his wife Polona Faganelj on April 9 and that in the meantime he received a restraining order.
Matavž was charged with domestic violence, and according to Slovenian law, he faces up to five years in prison. The football player’s lawyer only said that the divorce case is ongoing, while nothing was commented on the case of violence.
Tim and Polona have been married since 2014 and have three children, and he is Slovenian in the summer of 2020, he was linked to Red Star. That’s when the Slovenian media wrote that the red and white wanted him, when his contract with Vitesse expired, but there was never any confirmation from the Maracana.
