The former MVP of the Eurocup, Ruben Douglas, passed away

Ruben Douglas, former basketball player of the Spanish Valencia and MVP of the Eurocup, died at the age of 44.

The basketball player with Panamanian and American citizenship was MVP of the Eurocup.

When he played for Valencia in 2006, he received this recognition, when he played the best season of his career.

He was born in California, but made his basketball career in Europe.

After high school, Douglas played college basketball at the University of Arizona with the Arizona Wildcats in the 1998–99 season. Douglas led the NCAA in scoring with an average of 28 points per game during the 2002–03 season as a senior at the University of New Mexico while playing for the New Mexico Lobos. He was also named the Mountain West Conference MVP.

He played for Panionios, Bologna, Valencia, Dynamo Moscow, Lotomatika, Kahasol and Ušak.
