Koko Goff, the third ranked tennis player in the world, revealed that at the age of only 12, she experienced an extremely unpleasant situation at a tournament in France when fans from Croatia insulted her and threw orange peels at her.

At only 20 years old, Koko Goff already has seven titles, including one from the Grand Slam, i.e. the US Open. Her talent was talked about even when she was a girl, and even though she is still extremely young, she is already writing the history of white sports.

The path to success was not easy for her, and during her junior career she encountered unpleasant situations, one of which she remembers in particular.

“At the age of 12, I was at a tournament in France. There was also a group of Croatian fans in the stands who threw orange peels at me and called me a monkey. I cried that night, but the next day I got over it. They probably didn’t grow up around people who were different from them. I’m not angry about it, that experience didn’t affect me”, said the young American woman.

Nothing could disturb the talented Coco, who at the age of 15 captivated the world when she defeated the famous Venus Williams in the fourth round of Wimbledon. A year earlier, she won the prestigious “Orange Bowl” and soon began to compete in senior tennis.

“I think I’m more mature than the kids around me, nobody knows what his life is like when he’s 15.” But I mostly knew what I wanted,” said the American tennis player.

Currently, her greatest desire is to win a gold medal at the Olympic Games in Paris, reports Sputnik.

“I get goosebumps when I think about representing my country.” I want to win the gold so badly!” said Koko Goff proudly.
