Legendary Iranian football player Ali Daei (53) was sentenced to death in his homeland.
Daei was sentenced to death for protesting in the city of Sakez, following the murder of Masha Amini for improperly wearing a hijab, according to Azerbaijani media.
The people of Iran, and above all football fans, hope that this decision will be changed and that the legendary ace will avoid the death sentence.
At the end of September, Ali Daei called on the Iranian government to “solve the problems of the Iranian people instead of using repression, violence and arrests.”
