The grandmother of the goalkeeper of Red Star and the Canadian national team spoke to the Croatian media after a lot of public uproar.

That’s how the television crew of Nova TV, i.e. their Diary, is visited the village of Kričke, where Štefica Borjan lives. The Croatian media state that she is the grandmother of Milan Borjan, but they do not provide specific information about the connections in the family, that is, exactly how they are related. Milan Borjan’s birthplace is Kričke, a settlement near Drniš which in the 2011 census had 235 inhabitants. Drniš, where about six thousand inhabitants currently live, is located south of Knin, and during the existence of the Republic of Serbian Krajina it was the southernmost municipality within the proclaimed Serbian state on the territory of today’s Croatia.

Due to his statement from a few years ago that he was born in RSK, the experienced goalkeeper received over 2,500 messages from Croatian fans, and he also came under fire from the professional public, as analysts on Croatian television criticized his goalkeeping skills and “geography”.
