The New Year’s sales exhibition of the works of the authors of the local art and graphic scene was opened yesterday in the Hall of the City Museum in Kralja Aleksandra Boulevard, and all proceeds will be used to organize a free drawing school for children.

Apart from the museum, the “Arte” gallery, the Center for Graphics and Visual Research of the Faculty of Fine Arts also participate in this exhibition. The rich collection in the Salon consists of about 200 pictures, titles from the publishing industry and works by famous graphic artists.

– The exhibition is exclusively for sale and all works are from the “Arte” gallery, and all graphics are from the Center for Graphics and Visual Research of the Faculty of Fine Arts. Our partners the University and a private collector decided to display around 200 works. We are talking about the biggest author’s names that can be found on our market now. With this group exhibition of domestic masterpieces, the exhibition policy of the Salon of the City Museum continues, which is to nurture the domestic art scene that is accessible to the widest audience – said Jelena Medaković, director of the Museum of the City of Belgrade.

She pointed out that the Museum of the City of Belgrade will organize a drawing school for children, which will be led by painters, artists and associates of the museum.

– The museum already has a large number of workshops for both children and the elderly. But this will be a completely free workshop for children and we will support it from the proceeds we get from the sales. The little ones will be taught painting techniques by professors and our employees who are also drawing professors – said Medaković.

At the exhibition you can see the works of Radomir Damjanović Damjan, Andrej Konopek, Damjan Kovačević, Nikola Savić, Đorđe Ožbolt, Milica Živadinović, Vuk Vidor, Lazar Vujaklija, Marko Crnobrnja, Aleksandar Cvetković, Branko Miljuš, Stojan Ćelić, Bora Iljovski, Saša Pančić, Vladimir Veličković and many others.

This setup will last until January 15th.
