According to reports, garbage bags with blood, an axe, a saw, a carpet and used cleaning products were found. At the same time, investigators and police officers with dogs searched again around the house on Newbury Street, where the Walshes live, looking for new clues related to Anna’s disappearance.

Anna Walsh was last seen on Jan. 1 after a New Year’s Eve dinner at her home in Cohasset with her husband and a friend. Her husband, Brian Walsh, 47, is currently in custody on charges of misleading investigators in the case. He pleaded not guilty in court, after which bail was set at $500,000. During the first appearance before the court, the prosecutor said that the police found blood and a bloody damaged knife in the basement of the house. The court also heard Brian lied to police about his whereabouts on January 1 and 2 and was seen on security camera footage buying cleaning supplies at one of the shops, including $450 worth of rags, a bucket and tarp.

The disappearance of the Belgrade woman was first reported by her colleagues on January 4, because she did not show up at work the day before, when she had a scheduled flight from Boston to Washington, where she works in a real estate firm. At the start of the investigation, police were told she had to change her plans due to a work emergency and left early in the morning on January 1, but it was determined she had not boarded the plane that day.

The public increasingly suspects that Bryan is responsible for his wife’s disappearance, especially since information emerged that investigators found that he had searched the Internet for information on “how to dispose of a 50-kilogram woman’s body” as well as information on how to dismember the body.

Cem Mutlu, who celebrated the New Year with the Walsh family and was the last to see Ana, spoke for the first time yesterday. He left their home around an hour and a half past midnight.

– Right now, I am most worried about their children. I’m just thinking if they are safe – Mutlu told the American media.

– She was sitting next to me at the bar stool in the kitchen. There was absolutely no indication that any tragedy, disappearance or anything else was going to happen that night.

Mutlu said that Ana and Brian lived in separate houses and that she did not see her sons as often as she would like because she works in Washington, but that, he said, she knew that her husband took good care of her sons.

– It was festive, and Brian prepared a special meal – Mutlu said. – I met Ana through Brian, we all had fun together, celebrated, played with the children… and then hugged and toasted, all the things you do for the New Year. There were no signs of any problems, just a celebration.

Before his arrest, Brian told the police that after his friend Ana had left, he and he went to bed, but that his wife told him that she had an “urgent situation at work” and that she had to go to Washington as soon as possible. He then said that the last time he saw her was when she took a taxi to the airport that morning. A police investigation, however, revealed that there was no Uber or Lyft ride on New Year’s Day and that Anna Walsh did not make it to the flight or to Washington, and her cell phone was located at her home later in the day.

Despite the dark forebodings, Anna Walsh’s best friend, Abdullah Almutari, does not lose hope that she is alive. In recent days, he has been advertising optimistic messages on “Instagram”, and yesterday he published a photo of a napkin on which he wrote “Dare to be an optimist. Ana, I love you”. In one of the numerous photos together, he stated that they have been best friends for 12 years.

It is interesting that during the summer of 2022, Abdula also posted on “Instagram” footage from the office where he and Ana are throwing a ball and pillows. Also, three days ago he posted a photo from a plane in Boston with the comment “I’m going to bring Anna home”, announcing that he joined the search.

MOTHER: I STILL DO NOT DOUBT MY BROTHER-IN-LAW

I still cannot doubt that my son-in-law Brian has anything to do with Ana’s disappearance, because for the past seven years he has shown himself in the best light – Milanka Ljubičić (pictured), Ana’s mother, told “Novosti” yesterday. – The older daughter, who lives in Canada, thought of traveling to the USA, but she gave it up, because she does not want to interfere with the investigation in any way. As far as I know, she didn’t call Brian’s mother.

Milanka also emphasizes that she does not know if Brian has bailed, stating that it is too high, and that she does not know if he has the funds. When asked to comment on the fact that a knife with traces of blood was found in the basement of the house they rented in Boston, Milanka says:

– That doesn’t have to mean anything. Who knows what else is in that basement, that they didn’t even know when they moved into the house. And they also have a dog, maybe he brought something. If there were any disagreements between them, it might have been because of Anna’s desire for the children to come to Washington, because Brian, due to the process that was conducted against him earlier, is under house arrest.

NO EMPATHY FOR THE VICTIMS

Ron Rivlin, who was deceived by Brian Walsh by selling him fake pictures as originals, stated for the American media that he left the impression of a “calculated man, without empathy for the victims”.

Walsh was under house arrest with electronic monitoring as he stands trial for defrauding Rivlin, who he is suspected of selling a fake of the famous Andy Warhol artwork for €80,000. According to the media, Rivlini is an art collector in Los Angeles and owns his own gallery.

In support of Rivlin’s statement, for the fraud of which Walsh had previously pleaded guilty, there are also photos of his arrest, which went around the world, and in which he is smiling.
