Yevgeny Prigozhin, businessman and founder of the “Wagner” group, was placed on the FBI’s wanted list by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Yevgeny Viktorovich Prigozhin is wanted by the FBI for his alleged involvement in a conspiracy to defraud the United States by disrupting, obstructing, and subverting the lawful functions of the Federal Election Commission, the United States Department of Justice, and the United States from early 2014 until February 16, 2018. Prigozhin was a major financier of the CIA internet research (IRA) based in St. Petersburg. He allegedly supervised and approved their political and electoral interference. The operations in the United States included the purchase of American computer server space, the creation of hundreds of fictitious online personas, and the use of stolen identities of persons from the United States. These actions were allegedly taken to reach a significant number of Americans for the purpose of interfering with the political system of the United States, including the 2016 presidential election.

A federal arrest warrant for Yevgeny Viktorovich Prigozhin was issued on February 16, 2018 in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia after he was charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States.
