The famous American star of the reality program Kim Kardashian spoke at the White House with the vice president of the United States of America about the announced criminal justice reform.

US President Joseph Biden on Wednesday pardoned 11 people and commuted the sentences of four more people convicted of non-violent drug-related crimes, and four of them joined today’s event at the White House.

More people are incarcerated in the US than any other country, and 1.9 million people have been convicted of drug-related crimes.

Reuters reports that African-Americans and Latinos are disproportionately incarcerated compared to whites, and drug reform has the broadest support among young voters, the three voter groups that generally favor Democrats.

“Everyone makes mistakes, and for some it can be a big crime.” But isn’t it a sign of a civil society that we allow people to earn their way back and give them the support and resources they need to do so,” Kamala Harris said during a conversation with famous starlet Kim Kardashian.

Harris, a former prosecutor, plans to announce the finalization of small business administration rules that will remove most restrictions on loan eligibility based on a criminal record, White House officials said.

The reality star first became an activist for justice reform during former President Donald Trump’s tenure, and Harris praised her for her work.

“Every time I visited the prison, I met smart individuals with great ideas, and I believe that the changes (in the law) will change their lives,” Kardashian said, Sputnik reported.

Since taking office, Biden has commuted the sentences of 122 individuals and pardoned 20 people who committed non-violent drug-related crimes, the White House said.
