On August 8, American actor John Malkovich will be a guest at Felix Romuliani near Zaječar, as part of the European tour of the play “Infernal Comedy / Confessions of a Serial Killer”, which he performs with the Orchestra of the Vienna Academy and the Wrocław Baroque Orchestra.
The play “Infernal Comedy – Confessions of a Serial Killer” will be performed as part of the Zaječar Cultural Summer and the ArtLink Festival, which marks its tenth anniversary.
The performance at Felix Romuliani is organized by the National Theater of the Timoska Krajina-Cultural Center “Zoran Radmilović” and the National Museum of Zaječar, with the patronage of the city authorities of Zaječar.
More than ten years ago, Malkovich appeared in the “Infernal Comedy” by the author and director Michael Sturminger, in which he plays the main role of the serial killer Jack. In the current performance, he is joined by artists from Vienna and Wrocław, including conductor Martin Haselboeck and sopranos Chen Reiss and Susanne Langbein.
Before the visit to Felix Romuliani, Malkovic and the team of the play will perform in Linz and the Finnish city of Turku, and then the tour will continue in Madrid and then in Poland.
The last time Malkovic was a guest in Serbia was at the 48th Fest in Belgrade in 2020, which awarded him the “Belgrade Winner” award for outstanding contribution to film art, and ended with his musical stage performance “Music Critic”.
