Husein Suljanović, a resident of the United States of America originally from Bosnia and Herzegovina, was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his wife Adriana Perez and her lover Omar Santamaria Ruiz.

Suljanović committed the double murder in October 2018 in Houston, where he had a family home. American media reports that Suljanović was a truck driver.

He discovered the fraud by installing cameras in the family home and followed all the events while he was away. In this way, he discovered his wife’s love affair.
He killed his wife and lover in their bedroom. After hearing the shots, Suljanović’s children woke up.
Suljanović persuaded his eldest son to take the bodies to Louisiana. The body of the wife and mother was thrown into the woods, while the body of the lover was thrown into the river, not far from Baton Rouge.
His son pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five years in prison last year, Informer writes.
After the murder, Suljanović moved with the children to Mexico City, where he stayed until he heard that he was accused of murdering his wife and her lover.
Then Suljanović tried to escape to Bosnia and Herzegovina, but was caught in London and extradited to the USA.
– This man killed two people, including the mother of his children. He tried to flee the country and thus avoid responsibility – said the public prosecutor.
– We all know that domestic violence can escalate into murder, and that is why it is important to achieve justice for the victims in such cases – she added.
After an eight-day trial, Suljanović was found guilty of aggravated murder and was automatically sentenced to life imprisonment.
