According to the RTAF, these are problems related to complex technical requirements.

As Teletrader reminds, Thailand decided to replace its outdated fleet of American F-15 and F-16 fighters last year, and set aside about 400 million dollars for F-35A aircraft, which for now only the closest US allies have. The F-35 Lightening II is considered one of the most advanced fighter aircraft of the fifth generation.

However, RTAF spokesman Air Marshal Prapas Sornchaide stressed that official Washington has nevertheless agreed to provide Thailand with upgraded F-15 and F-16 aircraft.
