Security workers beat a young man in front of a swinger’s club in Rovinj

– I drove clients to Anaconda, and then I noticed that two security guards were beating a younger man on the floor. They kicked and punched him mercilessly. That young man was smaller, and these two were around 120 kilos each. I went outside and shouted at them to stop. I thought they had already killed him because he was lying motionless on the floor – recounted the 56-year-old taxi driver who was herself attacked on Saturday around 1:30 in front of the Anaconda swinger club in Rovinj.

The taxi driver was beaten and insulted

– A 56-year-old man, a 45-year-old man, a 44-year-old man, a 40-year-old woman, a 38-year-old man, two 36-year-old men and a 23-year-old man are suspected of committing the aforementioned crimes. Two of them are suspected of grievous bodily harm in the attempt, and one of them is suspected of the criminal act of coercion against an official in the attempt – the police announced.

After Anaconda shouted to the security guards to stop beating the young man, one of them ran into her as well.

– First he punched me in the head, I fell to the floor, and then another person joined him. They started hitting me. They insulted me. After some time they let me go. I quickly got into the car and called the police. That poor boy stayed there in front because he could move. Later, six other security guards came out to beat him, who was lying motionless on the floor, and no one reacted even though there were a lot of people there – said the taxi driver who suffered minor injuries.

They hit him with their hands and feet

The police report that in front of the club on Valalto, suspected men attacked a 30-year-old man.

– They hit him with their hands and feet, threatened him with death, took away his wristwatch and two chains, which damaged him for several thousand euros. A man was seriously injured in the incident, and in order to intimidate him not to report the incident to the police, one of the perpetrators took a photo of his identity card – the police announced.

Security workers sent death threats to a 24-year-old woman and a 26-year-old man who were in the company of the attacked 30-year-old. The police confirm that two security workers aged 45 and 44 also attacked a 56-year-old taxi driver.

Bloody beating unjustified

– Allegedly, the young man was beaten because his mobile phone rang in the club, and he did not know that it was allowed to use it there. Whatever it is, such bloody beating is really unjustified. I’m so shocked I don’t even know how I managed to leave, get into the car and drive away. I later met the young man at the police station, and he thanked me because I was the only one who reacted even though there were a lot of people there. Everyone just watched and no one was allowed to do anything – she said.

As she says, on Saturday during the day they intercepted her on the street and threatened her. One of them lifted his shirt indicating to her that he had a gun.

He had a gun in his pants

– He tried to send me a clear message with that. That Saturday was very stressful for me. I was afraid to say anything – said the 56-year-old woman. During the arrest, the 44-year-old man tried to stop the police officers, so he tried to pull a gun out of his pants waistband, for which he does not have a permit.

– Police officers prevented him from doing so and used coercive measures against him. The suspects were brought to the detention unit of the Istrian Police Administration after the completion of the criminal investigation, on September 3 in the evening, the police report.
