The Ukrainian president also accused Moscow of “igniting a fire” around the world and that with its “illegal and barbaric war in Europe, it brought the planet to the brink of World War III.”
He alleged that Putin supports the Hamas attack on Israel, citing Russia’s apparent strengthening of relations with Iran, which supports Hamas and has supplied Moscow with kamikaze drones.
Zelensky claims that Ukrainian intelligence has thwarted multiple assassination attempts on him, beginning with the Russian invasion on February 24, 2022.
He also claims that the Kremlin plans to oust him before the end of the year in a mission dubbed “Maidan 3”.
Elections in Ukraine are due to be held next year, but Zelensky said they will not be held because of the war and the need for unity.
